What is the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program looking for in its applicants?
The Admissions Committee seeks students who are early in their careers and who possess strong intellectual ability, superior interpersonal skills, and a desire to create value for business and society in the UAE, the MENA region, and beyond. What are the undergraduate degree requirements to apply to the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program?
Students entering Stern at NYUAD’s One-year Full-time MBA program are required to hold a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited college or university.
Are there any minimum standardized test scores required to apply?
No, there are no minimum standardized score requirements to apply. Please view the Standardized Tests section of our admissions website for further details.
Does Stern at NYUAD MBA Admissions have a preference between standardized tests?
Stern at NYUAD MBA Admissions accepts the GMAT, GRE, EA, MCAT, LSAT and DAT tests and does not have a preference as to which exam you choose to take. Please view the Standardized Tests section of our admissions website for further details.
Is it possible to waive the standardized test requirement?
If you are able to demonstrate academic readiness without a standardized test score, you may request a standardized test waiver. Please review the Standardized Tests section of our admissions website for further details.
Is there a minimum amount of work experience required to apply?
Full-time work experience is not a prerequisite to apply and we review all work experience, including internships and part-time work, in our evaluation.

May I apply for more than one graduate degree at NYU at the same time?
Applicants are permitted to submit admissions applications to two (or more) programs at the same time if they are within different schools at NYU. For example, you may apply to the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program and to a different program at the Steinhardt School in New York. However, you may not apply concurrently to the Stern at NYUAD MBA and the Stern MBA in New York. You also may not apply at the same time to the Stern at NYUAD MBA and the NYU Abu Dhabi MSc in Economics.

May I submit unofficial transcripts for the application review process?
Yes, Stern at NYUAD MBA Admissions only requires unofficial transcript(s) for the application review process. Admitted students will be required to provide official transcripts with proof of degree conferral prior to enrollment.
Do I need to submit TOEFL/IELTS scores with my application?
Fluency in English is required for the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program.
If your native language is not English, your level of proficiency in English must be demonstrated in at least one of the following ways:
- Your undergraduate or graduate degree was taught in English
- Your TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo text results
Scores are valid for two years from the date that you took the test and must be valid at the time that you submit your application. You are responsible for including your TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test score on the online application and ensuring that your official score report can be released and sent to Stern at NYUAD. While an official test score is required for a final decision, the Admissions Committee can begin the review of your application with an unofficial test score.
Can I have my application fee waived?
If you are experiencing economic challenges and would like to request an application fee waiver, please submit the Application Fee Waiver Request Form. Requests should include a rationale for the application fee waiver and will be considered by the Admissions Committee on a case-by-case basis.
The Admissions Committee will review these requests within 5 business days. Please plan ahead and allow ample time prior to submitting your application, especially during high-volume times around the application deadlines.
Once an application fee is paid by an applicant, it is non-refundable. Please be sure to fill out the request form prior to paying your application fee if you wish to be considered for a waiver.
Who should write my recommendations?
Two recommendations are required to be submitted as a part of your application to the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program. One recommendation must come from your current supervisor. You must provide an explanation in the online application if you are not able to provide a recommendation from your current supervisor. The second recommendation may come from someone who knows you professionally and/or personally. Recommendations should come from individuals who can objectively assess your potential for success in the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program and in your future career.

How do I apply for scholarships?
Merit-based scholarships do not require a separate application to be considered — you only need to submit an application for admission.
Will my diploma indicate that I earned the MBA from NYU Stern or NYU Abu Dhabi?
Both! Your diploma will show that you earned the MBA from NYU Stern and NYU Abu Dhabi.
Do you accept transfer credits?
No. There will be no opportunities for transfer credits or advanced standing in the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program.
What kind of job can I expect to get upon graduation from the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program?
The Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA curriculum has been designed to provide foundational skills in all functional areas of business to assist students in obtaining the knowledge needed to secure roles post-MBA. The program has also been designed to provide individualized career focus through the diversity of electives offered to help students further develop industry expertise. As a student in the program, you will have a unique and significant opportunity to gain world class employment in the local marketplace with top companies, both private and public. Students may have the option of on-campus graduate residences at NYU Abu Dhabi. You are also welcome to make your own arrangements for housing off-campus as well.
