The Career Management Center shapes its support around your specific goals and career stage, giving you a plan built for where you’re headed.

Professional Development

Abu Dhabi

Most EMBA students are looking to move into senior positions within their current organizations, or to build the skills needed to drive their own businesses forward. The Career Management Center (CMC) supports students to help them focus on self-awareness, executive presence, and positioning, giving you a clear next step for your career.

CMC support runs through the full 23-month program and beyond, shaped around your goals and where you are in your career. Whether you’re sharpening your leadership, building a venture, or aiming for your next promotion, the approach is the same: establish your direction, then build the skills and relationships to get there.

Your Professional Development Journey

Every EMBA student’s career goals are unique to them, whether you are climbing within your organization, scaling a venture you’ve already started, or planning a bigger move. The CMC is here to give you a clear guided path to becoming the leader that you want to be through our three-stage approach: Define, Align, Advance

Stern at NYUAD EMBA Student

Define: Understand Your Leadership Profile and Goals

Through assessment, coaching, and guided reflection, you build a clearer picture of your strengths and your leadership identity. This stage is about clarity before action: knowing what you’re aiming for before you build the plan to get there.

Align: Build Your Executive Positioning

Next, you turn that clarity into a professional narrative. This means sharpening your executive presence, shaping your personal brand, and thinking hard about your next career move, so the way you present yourself matches the leader you’re becoming.

Advance: Turn Development into Action

The final stage puts everything into practice. Targeted workshops, coaching, and strategic networking give you real tools, and access to senior leaders puts you in the room where those tools matter. You leave with a clear strategy on your next move, and how you’ll get there.

Deep Partnerships Across the UAE and MENA Region

Strategic networking is central to what the CMC does. Our dedicated Corporate Relations team builds strong, lasting relationships with leading organizations across the region, connecting you with senior executives and decision-makers who understand the value of EMBA-level leadership. Through guest speaker presentations and executive networking events, you gain visibility with the organizations that matter.

This matters because the region needs more leaders like you. There are already more than 6,000 MBA graduates working across the GCC, and demand for business talent capable of running and scaling organizations continues to grow. More than a third of regional employers plan to expand their senior talent pool with EMBA and MBA trained professionals, and over half over half expect that demand to rise further over the next five years.

Unlike programs that fly in for a few weeks a year, our relationships with regional businesses are built and maintained on the ground, year-round, by a team based here in Abu Dhabi.

Lifelong Career Support

Your access to the CMC does not expire on graduation day. As your career develops, whether you are working toward a promotion, growing your own venture, or preparing for a bigger leadership role, you can return for coaching, take part in alumni panels, and stay connected to senior networking events.

You also graduate into NYU Stern’s global alumni network of over 130,000 professionals, a resource that continues to open doors for as long as you use it.
